one song, every phone

Turn the phones in the room into one speaker. Same song, same instant, no lag between them.

Everyone needs an internet connection, and that is all — phones can be on wifi, on mobile data, or on different networks entirely. Send them the link or the four letters. Whoever starts the party runs the music; everyone else can play and pause, and can be given the rest at any time. Every phone downloads a track before it starts, so nothing is ever streamed late.

If this phone sounds slightly behind the others, drag right until the clicks land together. Every phone takes a different amount of time to push sound out of its speaker, and a bluetooth speaker adds a lot more. The clock cannot see that, so this is the fix for now.

Leave this alone. It is already set to beatbuddies.online, and the app talks to it over the internet like any other app — nobody has to be on the same wifi. Change it only if you are testing against a server running on your own computer.
